Holly and James

James and Holly are two country kids who fell in love.

They were great to work with!  They followed directions wonderfully.. the biggest being not to be mindful of the camera.  When I shoot people I love capturing real and natural moments.. especially when I shoot engagements.  If I am able to capture their love then I have succeeded.  Some people have the tendency to feel awkward when a camera is pointed at them.  It is super vital to get to a place with my clients to where they can be themselves and let personality and life come out.

Here is a great example of comfort level achieved and a real moment captured.

The met tossing the football around at Denton Bible’s Hanger.  There is a suspicion that they were set up by their friends.   James and Holly were mysteriously left all alone while throwing the ball when it started off as a group.  Funny how it worked out for them.  Well done friends!

I’ll be very happy when I get the new 5D Mark II b/c it has live view like most regular cameras.  Looking into the sun through a camera with a zoom lens is not the best idea.. BUT it can be worth it in order to get beautiful shots like this!
